Care Commission Success!
Care Commission Success!
Austen Smyth, our Chief Executive Oficer writes

"We are delighted to report that three of our services have achieved some exceptional grades in Care Commission inspections.
The Care Commission is the independent, national body that regulates and inspects the quality of care and support.
Our
Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Housing Service has achieved Grade 6's - excellent, for the quality of care, support and staffing. The service supports people throughout Paisley, Johnstone, Erskine and Inverclyde to live an independent and fullfilling life. The Care Commission inspection took place in June 2010, and concluded
"Service Users receive a high quality service, delivered by motivated and experienced staff." Meanwhile our
Galloway Housing Support Service has achieved the same terrific Grade 6's - excellent for the quality of their care, support and staffing. Their insepction took place in June 2010. People we support have their say as part of the inspection process, amongst the glowing comments are
"They (the staff) are all very understanding, good at helping me with things."
"I am doing fine. I am learning new skills"More great inspection results come from our Dumfries Housing Support Service, who were inspected in June 2010. Our team works across the town and rural areas of Castle Douglas, Nithsdale, upper Nithsdale, Annandale and Eskdale. Achieving Grade 6- excellent for quality of care, support and staffing the service was commended as
"providing an excellent standard of care and support for Service Users."
We will never become complacent and will always work to improve the support and care we provide, however we are really pleased that our hard working and commited staff are recognised in this important and public way. It gives our staff a great sense of accomplishment and spurs us on to do an even better job of supporting people."
