Christmas Dance 2005 goes with a swing

People supported by The Richmond Fellowship Scotland, their families and members of staff brought another successful year to a close with the organisation’s annual Christmas Dance.

750 guests, including representatives from most of the organisation’s eight regions, enjoyed a buffet dinner and danced the night away at Glasgow’s Thistle Hotel.

Representing our eight-strong Special Olympic team was Reggie Wheelhouse from Inverness, who won Gold and Bronze medals at the event earlier this year. Also present was The Richmond Fellowship Scotland’s Chief Executive, Austen Smyth:

“I am delighted to see so many people from throughout the organisation get together and have a great time at this year’s event. The Christmas Dance is a very important event in our calendar because it gives people from all parts of our organisation a chance to meet, share their experiences and celebrate being part of The Richmond Fellowship Scotland family. It is an opportunity for the individuals who receive our support, their families and, of course, the frontline staff who provide the support to meet informally, have a good time and build relationships which is why I am particularly pleased to see the event so well attended.”
