European On-Line Project visits Scotland

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland was delighted to host a 4-day visit from the European On-Line project.

The project is a partnership between 7 different European countries and aims to open up new PC-based learning opportunities both for people supported in services and people working in services. The Richmond Fellowship Scotland has been involved in the project for the last 18 months.

The visit, between 8-12 April, saw 16 of our European colleagues, as well as representatives from The Richmond Fellowship Scotland, meet to plan the future direction of On-Line. The delegation, which was hosted in Gartmore House in the heart of the Trossachs, also took the opportunity to visit some of our services in the Stirling area and enjoy the Scottish countryside.

James Watts, our ICT Development Officer, who co-ordinates our input into On-Line, said:

"We hope to design an e-learning course for the On-line 'Learning Incubator' and we have already learned a great deal from the exchange of ideas and experiences in the project."
