The Richmond Fellowship Scotland (TRFS) has contributed to a major European project which aims to create a new culture of learning for people with support needs.
The launch of the Online Project's web-based "Learning Incubator" makes available for the first time access to multimedia learning opportunities for people with a range of support needs including learning disabilities and mental health difficulties.
Utilising work carried out with the people we support, The Richmond Fellowship Scotland has contributed six multimedia case studies enabling individuals to learn key IT skills including managing PC files, improving mouse control, communicating with digital images, storing and playing music, using the internet and using a screenreader.
The Online Project comprises partner organisations from throughout Europe and is funded by the Leonardo Da Vinci Fund. Now in its final year, the three year project aims to facilitates access to new technologies in the belief that the skills learned will lead to an improved quality of life.
