Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland works in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council, health services and housing associations to support individuals with learning difficulties and/or mental health problems within their own homes. Due to expansion of the Service we are looking to recruit committed individuals to join our team.

Successful candidates will join a team of dedicated staff who provide high quality support to people in their homes on a one to one basis; they will be confident and enthusiastic with a willingness to learn. They will be comfortable working primarily on their own but also be an integral part of a supportive team. They will be committed to providing a 24 hour service, including sleepover support, shift-work, personal care and waking night shift in some cases.

Good communication skills, a sense of humour and a caring personality are essential, as is an understanding and commitment to the principles of ordinary living and person centred services. It is desirable that candidates have an SVQ Level 2 in Care or are willing to undertake this.
