What We Do

Angus Supported Living Service

"The staff treat me with respect, honesty and friendliness." Sammy Paterson

Angus Supported Living Service opened in 2003 and supports people to live independently in their own home. The service promotes the recovery philosphy. We believe that people can and do recover from mental health problems. The aim of our service is to support individuals to live the life they want and develop the coping skills they need. We support adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, visual impairment and older people too. Our staff have a positive and empowering approach with everyone, that is what makes our service a success.

Our team encourages people to be active, to meet people, to make friends and have a good life. We help people organise their home, and to feel safe and well.

"I feel privileged to be working for such a dynamic service!" Stacey Burton

The service has steadily grown over the years and currently supports 27 people. Some of the places we support people are Arbroath, Carnoustie, Monifieth and Montrose - but we have the flexibility to work throughout the whole of Angus.

The team has embraced opportunities to work with individuals with different needs. We have a strong focus on developing our staff and getting the right training so that we can provide the highest quality of support.

At the moment we are working hard to let people in Angus know more about the service. We have been raising our profile at the Angus Health Fair and at our Open Day.
