Central Participatory Funding Newsletter
The circulation of our first edition of Central Region Participatory Funding Newsletter captures and showcases some of our successful bids. These stories show real participation within communities and networking opportunities created as an addition to include others in our approaches. Our approach to embrace participatory funding has been hugely successful in empowering individuals to be central to planning events that have been really helpful in raising self-confidence, self direction and experience being part of a team with a shared goal.
The process of participatory funding in Central Region was developed with the assistance of a steering group comprising of supported individuals and support staff from across our five areas. This group were motivated and enthusiastic to being central to a new approach and very determined that the process would be truly reflective of individual’s choices and ideas and offer very real opportunities for people to have FUN!!!
