TRFS awarded Fire Warden Training Accreditation

Monday 23 February 2015

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland have recently been awarded with accreditation from the Institute of Fire Safety Managers to deliver our own ‘in-house’ Fire Warden training.

Tony Priest Fire Warden Training

This is a significant achievement and we are now the first organisation in Scotland to be accredited to deliver this training and ensure our staff are receiving information specific to our sector.  This has huge benefits in terms of protecting the people we support and our staff.

The Accreditation team visited one of the training courses and was pleased to report the standard of course content and practical training was found to be excellent and well worthy of an Approved Course Status.

The Institute were impressed with the fire rig designed and developed specifically by us to provide course delegates with practical fire extinguisher training. The rig has a number of features used to create a practical learning experience which will build staff confidence in first aid fire fighting and evacuation procedures, should it be needed, where we support individuals in their own home or residential centre.

We are delighted to have received this accreditation and we are now able to promote this through our letterheads, intranet and website.
