Oakley Terrace is registered as a care home for adults with mental health problems.

The Oakley Terrace service opened in 1996 as a medium level supported accommodation service providing opportunities for people to move on from long stay hospital settings, primarily Gartloch hospital.

The service has 8 places with each person we support having their own en-suite bedroom and shared access to two large lounges, (one of which permits smoking), two large kitchens, two laundry rooms and gardens to the front and rear.

The service is situated in the Dennistoun area of Glasgow which is 5 minutes from the city centre. There are extensive local amenities within a short walk or bus ride of the service.

The service is staffed by one Team Manager, one Senior Support Worker and eight Support Practitioners. Support is available from 7am to 11pm daily according to individual's choices and needs, with a sleepover facility outwith these hours.

The service is registered to provide support to adults from age 18+, there is no upper age limit. Referrals to the service are managed by the funding local authority, Glasgow City Council.

The overall aim of the service is to provide person centred, recovery focused support which enables individuals to reach their maximum potential and independence, hopefully moving on to a less supported environment when the opportunity arises.
