Burns Road 022

Burns Road service supports people eight individuals with varying degrees of learning disability, visual impairment, physical disability, autism and challenging behaviour.

The service was established in 2007 and is a purpose-built building which houses six self-contained flats, a staff base and sleepover room. We also provide support to individuals who have their own house outside the service and within the local community. Those supported at the service have access to a staff member 24/7 as there is a sleepover within the service every night.

Support is provided by a dedicated staff team which consists of Team Manager, Senior Support Workers and Support Workers and Support Practitioners. Support may include any or all of the following; personal care and support, housing and practical support and social support.

One of the main aims of the service is to support individuals to establish themselves within their own home and within the local community and to secure and maintain their own tenancy; some of the individuals we support have never had their own home before.

We support individuals in a perso-centred way and ensure that support is personalised to meet the individuals needs, wants, wishes, goals and aspirations.
