Big Thanks to Fundraiser Louise!

Wednesday 23 June 2021

At TRFS, we develop and deliver the best personal supports that listen to what people want and achieve what matters to them.  Having FUN is definitely one of the biggest things people want to have in their lives.

Our Sheriff Park Service usually hold fun fundraising events throughout the year, raising money for resources for the various groups that people enjoy being involved in.   However, due to lockdown this hasn't been possible.  That's when Louise MacDougall stepped in to help!

Support Practitioner, Susan McCallum tells us more!

"Each year at Sheriff Park we like to hold a fundraiser to raise funds needed for the various groups that are run from the service the gardening and arts & crafts. Due to COVID-19 we have been unable to fundraise how we normally would so we started thinking outside this box.

Meet Louise .....

For the last few years Louise has been raising funds on Facebook for various charities, reaching out to companies to donate what they can to help raise some money. Louise picks a charity and a target which is usually £500 and focuses  solely on that charity until the money has been raised.

This time round Louise chose to raise funds for the Sheriff Park service setting her goal at £500 and started reaching out to companies to see what they could donate.

She kept everyone up to date with the totals on Facebook each step of the way.

We can’t thank Louise enough for devoting her time to contacting companies for items and arranging the auctions.  Everyone at Sheriff Park is extremely grateful for the money she has raised and we are looking forward to being able to invite Louise to the service to let her see what we do here and thank her in person.

So Louise from everyone at Sheriff Park (especially your big cousin - that’s me!)"
