It's a WRAP!
On Monday and Tuesday the 16th and 17th May 2022, we had a great opportunity to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week by running a Wellness Recovery Action Planning Seminar for staff across TRFS.
The Seminar was facilitated by Rona McBrierty, an International WRAP Facilitator from the Copeland Centre USA, and Pam Butter, TRFS Area Manager, who is an Advanced Level Facilitator.
Held in Glenrothes, it was great to have face to face training back again! It was a fantastic opportunity to work with a great bunch of staff from across TRFS
Through Participation in these workshops it helps people to:-
- Apply the Key Concepts of Recovery into their everyday life to improve their quality of life.
- Identify tools and action plans to counter the negative effects of life challenges and improve responses to disturbing thoughts and feelings to achieve improved states of wellness.
- Provide an opportunity to promote higher level of wellness, stability and quality of life.
- Realise that, at the end of the day, you are the expert of yourself!
Feedback from the training was positive: -
"Fun learning experience"
"Insightful and new techniques"
"Useful and glad I came along"
"It is okay to say I am not okay"
"Trusting the process"
