Mental Health Awareness Week 2014 will take place from 12-18 May and this year's theme is Anxiety.

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland have organised a variety of events for Mental Health Awareness Week for Staff, People We Support and the general public. Have a look and feel free to join us if you're interested.

Please find below a selection of the events we have planned: -

Monday 12th May

Mental Health Awareness Event, 11am – 3pm, Milngavie Town Hall (All welcome)

Includes : -

  • ·         Home Baking
  • ·         Craft Demonstrations
  • ·         Healthy Reading Stall
  • ·         Alcohol Awareness Stall
  • ·         Health Living Awareness Stall
  • ·         Relaxation and Stress management Information

Wellness Walk, 12pm – 2pm , starts at Milngavie Town Hall (All welcome)

Interactive Information Session, 12pm, 90 Seaward Street (Staff only)

Tuesday 13th May

Mental Health Awareness Open Day, Centre 81, Braes Ave, Clydebank (All welcome)

  • ·         Pop along and find out more about mental health, self help techniques & advice.

Mental Health Talk, 12.30pm – 2pm, Oakley Terrace (Staff only)

Townhead Open Evening, 5pm – 8pm, 7a Dalrymple Court, Townhead, Kirkintilloch (All welcome)

Wednesday 14th May

Mental Health Awareness Event, 11am – 3pm, St Davids Memorial Park Church, Kirkintilloch (All welcome)

Friday 16th May

An introduction to mindfulness and anxiety presentations, 12pm – 3pm, St Davids Memorial Park Church, Kirkintilloch (All welcome)

  • ·         12.30pm – 1pm: Anxiety Presentation
  • ·         1.30pm: Come along and learn more about mindfulness and learn to live in the moment.

Alzhiemers Scotland Talk, 1.30-2.15pm Hawthorn Court (Staff & People We Support)

Piano Recital by Nicoletta Favari, 2.45-3.30pm Hawthorn Court (Staff & People We Support)
